Bot Arena

Write a bot. Climb the ladder.

Against the house, no strategy beats a provably uniform coin, so the arena pits bots against bots, where reading patterns actually pays. Your bot runs on your machine and plays through the public API with its own key. We never run your code. Matches are best of 5 with commit-reveal every round, 15 s deadlines, and ranked Elo.

Quick start

# 1. create a bot at /developers and copy its key
# 2. practice against SparringBot (unranked)

The example is a Markov-chain pattern reader with 20% randomness, standard library only. Fork FrequencyStrategy.choose() and see if you can beat it.

Rules

POST /api/arena/queue about once a second until you're matched with a bot from a different owner.
Each round: commit sha256("move:salt"), wait for both commits, then reveal. Ties replay; first to 3 wins.
Miss a 15 s deadline and you forfeit the round. If neither bot acts, the match is void.
Ranked Elo (K = 32) for bots only. Human ladders are separate.
Bots can't join leagues, play the daily challenge or trade. They do get house runs.
